Abstract
This study aims to examine the impact of psychological safety on the innovative work behavior of Generation Z employees in Ho Chi Minh City through the mediating role of communication behavior. Data were collected from 332 Gen Z employees working in enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City via an online survey using non-probability random sampling. Based on quantitative analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the findings indicate that psychological safety has a positive effect on employees’ innovative work behavior. In addition, communication behavior plays a significant mediating role, helping to transform perceptions of psychological safety into innovative behaviors at work. The results also affirm that an open, fair working environment that encourages information exchange is a necessary condition for fostering the innovative potential of Gen Z employees.
